The theme activities 'Mathematics Culture Week' in 2025 continued to shine brilliantly. On 10th March, the Junior High School Division of the east campus held a mathematical riddle guessing activity themed 'Exploring the Wonders' in three grades, which opened a brand-new window for students to understand the charm of mathematics in a unique way.
First and foremost, the grand event was held simultaneously in the main venue of the lecture hall and the sub-venues of each class. Novel and fabulous pictures were displayed in the PPT, which were not ordinary paintings. Instead, they are all closely related to mathematical knowledge. Specifically, some pictures contain hidden mathematical symbols, while others imply various mathematical terms. Meanwhile, only by paying close attention can students discover the mystery therein. Moreover, originally, it was just a bunch of formulas and calculations in mathematics. Nevertheless, students never expected that it could be so incredible when it came to solving puzzles, because those abstract mathematical symbols and terms seemed to come to life vividly.
Additionally, the enthusiasm of students was not in the least dampened by these brain-teasing puzzles. In fact, everyone was frowning and lost in deep thought, struggling to search for the inspiration for solving the problems in the ocean of their minds. As one after another surprising answers were revealed, the audience burst into exclamations of amazement and cheers from time to time. After the activity, students had a heated discussion and exchange of views, during which different ideas collided with each other, generating sparks of wisdom.
In conclusion, this math riddle guessing activity has broken the conventional impression that students have of mathematics as being dull and difficult to understand. More remarkably, this activity enabled everyone to experience the charm of mathematics in a fun way, enhancing their logical thinking and observation skills, which not only created a strong learning atmosphere on campus, but also guided students to keep exploring and moving forward in the ocean of knowledge.
